Privacy policy

This policy is written for a New Zealand audience and for the Privacy Act 2020. The publisher is Younivi, based in New Zealand. This site does not offer accounts, logins, comments or user-generated profiles.

What we collect today

The static files that make up this site do not themselves collect names, email addresses or account data. A public host will generate ordinary web-server logs (IP address, user agent, time, requested path). Those logs are used to keep the site up, not to build a marketing profile.

Cookies, advertising and analytics

This site uses Google AdSense. The AdSense script loads on each page and may set cookies or use similar technologies. Our publisher identifier is ca-pub-6557770900386479 (also listed in ads.txt).

A theme choice (light or dark) is stored in your browser's local storage so the next visit can match it. That value never leaves your machine.

Third-party advertising and your choices

Advertising is served by Google and its partners, and those vendors may use cookies or device identifiers to select and measure ads. We do not control those cookies, see the personal information they collect, or receive it. You can manage or turn off personalised advertising through your Google account or the industry opt-out pages. Blocking or clearing cookies may change which ads you see but not the figures on the page.

Retention and international transfers

We do not operate a database of visitors. Server logs are held by the hosting provider for its own operational period and are not used by us to identify individuals. Advertising and hosting providers may process data outside New Zealand, including in the United States, under their own safeguards.

Children

This site is a statistics reference and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, and request a correction. Use the contact page. You can also complain to the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The current version is the one published on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
